The month is finally at an end, and this marks my first full month blogging, as well as having at least one article for every day. This month saw many improvements on my blog, adding new features and articles. I continue to update the complete Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade lists every week, as well as making sure all of the information is accurate.

When I first started my blog, I was a bit skeptical of how it would turn out, but looking back I never would have I thought I myself could have done such a good job. Yeah, I am giving myself a pat on the back! Anyways, lets take a look at this month’s flashback.

Flashback

Synopsis: It is has been 2008 for a month now. I began with an article on my top 10 movies of 2007, and then made two more lists – one for the Virtual Console, and the other for Xbox Live Arcade, which are both updated weekly. A few days later I began the tag-team blog feature “The HappyCube” in which MasterKitty (Happy) and I (Cube) write an article on the same topic. We managed to write two articles for this feature, and it was quite successful. I wrote more articles about Final Fantasy and DDR, along with the weekly quote, joke, and picture.

I even got a bit educational and wrote an article about video games being beneficial, and of course a bit culinary with the debut of Cookin’ Cube, in which I delved into the soup world. I introduced even more articles, such as Song of the Week, and the Life Circle, which are articles helping with life. I managed to get one video game review in this month – Endless Ocean for the Nintendo Wii, which I am still enjoying playing. Let’s also not forget about the Blog Banter, in which Hawty McBloggy began awhile ago which has become quite successful. I wrote a great article for that. Well, that about wraps up the month of January at Silvercublogger.

Here are a few wonderful articles to take a look at that I wrote this month. Take a look by clicking on them:

Memoirs of a Cube [#5]

January 31, 2008

It is amazing how fast time is flying… one day you are on college break, and then an instant later you are back into college. Yesterday I started college again, my spring semester. I was originally supposed to take five classes, but one of them got canceled, so I am only in four – which is alright.

Today I spent some time printing out schedules and organizing my agenda for college. But what I really had in store today was… a haircut. Yes, for the last 7 years I had went to the same barber, but last month I went to get a haircut and the place was closed down – permanently. I felt awful, and had no idea what to do. Well today, after a bit of searching, I found another barber about 10 minutes away from where I am. I got a pretty good haircut, but I will always miss my old barber.

Anyways, I am very excited about my college semester, and also as well for a few video games set to be released soon, such as Karaoke Revolution: American Idol Encore and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. February is right around the corner, and I say bring it on! : )

The HappyCube [#2]

January 29, 2008

Hi! Welcome to the second edition of the “HappyCube” in which my friend MasterKitty (Happy) and I (Cube) write about the same topic. Last time we blogged about our favorite place we want to live.

Today we are going to blog about our favorite food. I could not pick only one… so as you will see I chose a few favorite foods. No, it is not ice cream surprisingly. I get sick of that from time to time.

A favorite food is something that I want often or order at the restaurant very frequently. The first two foods that I can think of immediately is Pizza and Lasagna.Pizza has been a favorite of mine since I was a little child, and even until this day it still is. While not all pizza’s taste delicious, there are those times where the spices and the taste just melt into your mouth.. and it is so good. They always go wonderful with french fries too.

When I order pizza at a restaurant, it usually disappears pretty quickly. Since I keep kosher, I have never had pepperoni on my pizza, but quite frankly it looks kinda gross anyways. Besides, I am not much of a meat-eater anyways. I love dairy! Cheese Blintzes, Grill- Cheese Sandwiches… its all good. Some times I order topping on it, like olives, tomatoes, and green peppers. It is delicious!

My second favorite food is Lasagna, but only the dairy kind. I love the noodles mixed with the sauce and the cheese… it is making me hungry right now actually. They taste great with garlic knots too. Garfield loves lasagna as well, and he’s just a cat.

Lasagna is not the easiest thing to make at home, so I usually order it in a restaurant, and I just gobble it up there.

All of this food talking is making my tummy grumble with hunger. Anyways, to take a look at what my friend MasterKitty (Happy) wrote about her favorite food, please click here.

What is your favorite food?
