Spotlight on Syberia

Imagine a beautiful world, filled with mystery and intrigue. That is just the beginning of what the game Syberia is about. I recall reading about it a few years back when it was released for the original Xbox, but at the time I was too busy playing Animal Crossing on my Gamecube to notice other games. A few months ago I remembered this game, and decided to purchase it.

Two days ago, I finally completed this game. It took me about three months on and off, and it was a very worthwhile investment. Syberia is an adventure game, where the main character who you control is named Kate Walker. She is a lawyer who is sent overseas to resolve an issue regarding an automaton (robot) factory. It is then the story is placed in your hands, as you travel the beautiful environments, interact with other people, and solve puzzles. This genre, which may be known as a “point and click adventure” is quite rare these days. Everyone should try this game out, because it offers a unique experience unlike any other. The music in this game is phenomenal, and is very memorable. But what really stands out is this:

The jaw-dropping graphics that even today look amazing. There are so many exquisite scenes in this game that must be seen. Syberia is a game you will always remember. It is a classic masterpiece. Best part is, once you finish the game, it is not over! The adventure continues with Syberia II, but you need to buy the second part separately. I have just begun my descent into the second chapter, and I know I will enjoy it.
