The HappyCube [#1]
January 9, 2008
Hello, and welcome to the first ever article of “The HappyCube!”
What exactly is it? Well, it is a tag-team blog event in which me, (Juda aka Cube) and Alicia (MasterKitty aka Happy) will be writing about the same topic in our own way. Since I am a male, and “Happy” is a female, it will be very interesting to see how the articles will turn out. We are both 19, and come from very different backgrounds- but there are a few things we do have in common- one of them being we both have blogs! The topics will range from a variety of subjects, this one being “your favorite place to live.” So without further ado, I will begin!
***
When I was a child, I always dreamed about living in an exotic place, filled with the most beautiful sights. But alas, those dreams are long gone. Lately I have been fascinated by Japan and its culture, but I certainly do not want to live there. If I could have my wish, I would want to live with all of my wonderful friends on an island. We would each have our own homes if we wished, and have xbox live of course…. oh, and lets not forget about food. But wishful dreaming, right? Instead I will have to think of something more realistic.

The place that I would really like to live if I could would be Flagstaff, Arizona. Why you ask? Well currently I live in Florida, and I do not really like it, as it is way too humid and features hurricanes every once in awhile. I used to live in Phoenix, Arizona before I moved to Florida, and I did not like it in Phoenix either. One time I went up to Flagstaff when I was a child and fell in love with it. The weather was not hot, the air was fresh, and the scenery magnificent. I would love to live in Flagstaff, Arizona if I was given the chance, providing I have a good job. So that would be my favorite place to live. To see what “Happy” (Alicia) had to write about her favorite place, please click here. ^_^
Final Fantasy Fanatic [#3]
January 9, 2008
Do you remember Final Fantasy I? I do. The latest version appeared on the Playstation Portable a few months ago, but I personally experienced it on the Game Boy Advance. Entitled Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls, the hype for this game was very high, and when it was released back in 2004, it certainly sold quite well. The game was a remake of the Playstation One game Final Fantasy Origins, but had additional features. If you were one of the hardcore gamers who remembers playing this game on the Nintendo Entertainment System, then surely you will remember the annoyance of saving. Thanks to recent technology, games have become easier in that regard, no longer requiring passwords to save your progress in the game.

What made Final Fantasy I such a good game was that the company, Square (as that is what is was known by back in the day) put its heart and soul into making the game. The company had made previous games before, but did not sell well at all. This game was their last chance, their last fantasy. But to their surprise, it sold many copies, and ended up becoming Square’s hit franchise.
Fast forward to 1:15. The music is beautiful…
The Game Boy Advance version was noted for being very simplistic and easy- and it certainly was. The story was practically non existent, but what I enjoyed most about the game was the music. This game was awesome to hear with headphones, and the classic songs were very nostalgic to me.
Do you have any memories of playing Final Fantasy I?
