Hi! Welcome to another monthly installment of the monthly flashback, where we take a look back on the month on what went on.

The month of May was nothing extraordinary, but there was plenty of fun to be had.

On my YouTube channel, the videos I have made in the last few months have reached cumulatively over 15,000 views. Quite impressive! Anyways, let’s begin the look back at the month.

Flashback

Synopsis: What on earth did I do this month? I got a Playstation 2! Plus tons of games for it. WiiWare launched this month, with quite a few games, and of course, I did not purchase any of them - *looks at wallet and sees cobwebs* - anyways, just playing some old games in the meantime while I wait for Unreal III and Soul Calibur IV.

The Mole Is Back!

May 29, 2008

After a few years off the air, The Mole is back!

The show premieres this Monday, June 2 at 10pm EST.

This week’s song is a beautiful operatic trance song.

I found it just a few days ago, and it has become one of my favorites.

Gladiator - Now We Are Free (Darren Tate remix)

What do you think of this song?

We are humans. People with feelings, believe it or not.

While the actions of many individuals may confuse or hurt us, we must ask ourselves why the person did the action in the first place.

Attention? Jealousy? Hatred? Stupidity?

These are all feelings to a degree, something that is in many of us. Each and every one of us are different. We all have our needs. Some need more attention, some need more food, some need more love. For others it may be something else.

But one thing we all share is that we do have a heart. So use it.

If you are going to say something negative, think for a moment and ask yourself what does it accomplish?

Is it that difficult to care for one another? Is it too much to ask for stereotypes to be forgotten, and instead base every one on an individual status instead of a community, country, race, or religion?

The only exception is if this community/country/religion goes by rules that is unacceptable and disturbing, such as the Nazis and the KKK. These people fit the stereotype because the people in them choose too. They choose to represent something.

The fact is, we all choose to represent something. Just make it a positive and caring representation, and the world will be a better place to live in.

Take for example myself. I was born into a religion. I am Jewish. There are many stereotypes of Jewish people, but the fact is none of them describe me.

Break out of the stereotypes and show everyone who you really are. Yes, there is certainly “rotten apples” around every corner, but if we all try to be more positive and caring, we could overpower all the negativity.

You don’t need a religion to tell you to care. Just be a good person and help out others. In the end, you do win.

This is our world, our home. Let’s all try to make everyone feel comfortable : )

“Before you do anything, think. If you do something to try and impress someone, to be loved, accepted or even to get someone’s attention, stop and think. So many people are busy trying to create an image, they die in the process.”

- Salma Hayek

Winback was first released on Nintendo 64, and became an instant hit, thanks to good graphics and fun gameplay. I played this version and had a blast.

Recently, just this week, I got the PS2 version, and it is much better. With more modes, and enhanced graphics and music, this version is the one to get. Even though the game is over six years old, the game still holds up quite well.

The shooting elements are wonderful, and the action is intense. It feels a bit like Metal Gear Solid, which is great. If you are looking for an action shooting game that is not expensive, and want to have a great time playing solo or with friends, Winback is the game to get!

Take a look at some the campaign mode from the N64 Version.

Ignore the second game though. : )

I was looking forward to this title on Xbox 360, which releases June 3, until I found out the other day that there was no online co-op.

Silly, because the previous game, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga did have multiplayer online.

It is very unfortunate that this feature is not in this game, however that won’t stop many from purchasing this game. With 18 missions, it might entertain for a little bit, but with no online co-op, I will pass.

According to an interview with Next-Gen.biz, Microsoft plans on refining its current library of Xbox Live Arcade titles as well as overhauling its digital-rights management system. Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox Live, told the site that Microsoft will start culling lower-quality games from its Arcade service. How will games be marked for that dubious honor?

The company will use three measurements when making the decision to pull it: First, games must have been available for download for at least 6 months. Then, it has to have a Metacritic rating of lower than 65 and a lower than 6-percent conversion rate (the percentage of people who download the demo and then purchase the full version). Microsoft will provide a three-month notice before pulling titles.

Animal Crossing Wii

May 22, 2008

According to many video game websites, such as IGN, Animal Crossing Wii has a release date in Europe for June 27, 2008.

What about here in United States? Who knows?
Let’s hope Nintendo will shed some more light on this game soon. I am getting excited!
