Movie Spotlight: The Story of 15 Boys

When I was a little child, my father and I went to the library and I saw this title jump out at me. I wanted to see it, and I was granted my request. The movie is about 15 boys who get stranded in sea, and get shipwrecked on an island. They learn how to survive, and uncover mysterious things during their stay.

It’s a classic anime movie, made in 1987. The movie is quite rare, and unfortunately can only be found on VHS to this day. The distributors (Celebrity Home Entertainment) went out of business, so it has been very difficult trying to track down who to contact to make this into a DVD format.

Its a wonderful family-friendly movie, but unfortunately the movie has not aged as well. Compared to more recent anime films, this movie is sorely lacking in a variety of departments. Perhaps someone might remake this movie – that would be awesome!
