Video Game Spotlight: Child of Eden

Created by the developers behind Rez, Child of Eden can be described as a musical shooter that can be either played with a controller or using the Kinect with your body. The game features five core levels, with a few unlockables.

The music and graphics are very unique, and everyone should try playing this game at least once. Although the game is not very long, it’s worth a purchase.

Movie Spotlight: Super 8

Super 8 is an unusually titled film, which is called that because of the film camera used in the movie. A group of kids creating a film for a competition happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.. or maybe the right place at the right time, where they witness a train accident and from then on things start changing.

One great thing about the film is that I was never really bored watching it. It’s a decent thriller film that is worth a watch.

Quote of the Week [#141]

“…I’d rather want everything and have nothing, than have everything and want nothing. Because at least when you want something, your life has a meaning, it’s worthwhile. From the moment you think you have everything you have to search for meaning in other things…” – Vik Muniz
