The New Xbox Experience

Today is the day! November 19th, NXE is released.

What do I think of it?

Well, I’ve looked around for about 30 minutes and I really enjoy the interface.

I’m a little disapointed with the customization of the avatars, but otherwise besides that, I’m really enjoying it.

How about you?

I’ll be loading it up tonight after work… then installing my limited game library. I’m glad I got the 120 gig Elite. And all this time I thought the extra 100 gig was a waste.

  2. Yeah, I’m digging it so far. I would agree that the avatar options are a little sparse, though. And this 20 gb hard drive isn’t going to get me anywhere in light of this game install business.

  3. @ Gil: Lucky! I have the 20 GB HDD. I have 9 GB left. I think it will last awhile as long as I don’t use it to install games.

@ Lou Chou: I completely agree – although I hear a few games (Halo 3 for example) don’t run any faster if you install it.

I actually like the avatar creator, it’s better than Miis. And the interface is great, I couldn’t believe how wonderful it looked. One complaint though, it froze a couple times while zooming in on my offline friends, to get a close look at their avatars.

  5. I also freezed up a bit last night too – it seems that I freezed the same place too – also when I was in a party.

I will try and get an Animal Crossing code for the DS on Monday if I can. :)
