My Account & Community Games
When the NXE was released, most people were focusing their attention to the Xbox 360.
But on Xbox.com, there was a new feature that debuted on the same day.
My Account, which enables you to view your account details may not seem like much, but if you click on the next tab, Marketplace, you can browse through anything available on the 360 and download it right to your console!
So if you are at work, in school, and would like to have everything already starting to download when you fire up your 360, this is a really good way to do so.
Last but not least, is a new feature called Community Games, where developers, just like you, make their own video games and can submit them through the XNA Website to see if it can be downloaded through Xbox Live. They make 70% of their profits, which is pretty good for the developer.
I do question how much the games will sell due to its advertising (there really is none) so it’s really up to the gamer to download them and see if it’s something they might enjoy. With over 50 Community Games in just less than a week, it’s certainly becoming difficult to keep track of them all.
But I’ve downloaded them all and there are quite a few that are worthy of a purchase. My personal favorite is actually Arriba, an educational game where you can improve your Spanish. I’ll take those kinds of games any day! Runners up go to Biology Battle and Blow.
What do you think of these new features? What is your favorite Community Game?
