Video Game Spotlight: CSI – Hard Evidence
CSI (Crime Scene Investiagtion) is a TV show that’s been around for quite some time. It’s logical that a video game release would happen sooner or later, and this game, released September 2007, was greeted by critics quite harshly.
I finally picked up the game yesterday and was quite surprised and how enjoyable it was. It reminded me a bit of the Syberia series (except CSI is in first person, while Syberia is in third person perspective).
While I have only played the game for a few hours, the concept remains the same. Basically, you visit a crime scene, gather evidence, return to the lab with it, find a suspect that matches the profile, and question the suspect. The stories are interesting and not at all boring, and the voice acting makes the game come to life.
While the game may be a little short (it can be completed in less than 10 hours), for only $20, it’s not a bad purchase.
