Hurricane Season, Bill Arrives
You never know just what mother nature has in store for us. Living in Florida, it’s a little risky come hurricane season. Luckily, the last few years have been pretty peaceful and now with Hurricane Bill on the horizon, it reminds me to check in with its status updates.
The big problem with hurricanes is you really don’t know what to expect. With Category 1 and 2 hurricanes, it’s generally okay to stick around, but once it gets to Category 3, 4, and 5, it’s time to worry – especially if it’s heading your way.
One of the biggest hurricanes I was in was Hurricane Wilma, in which my old school closed down for a month and suffered tremendous damage to the building. We were without electricity in our homes for 2 weeks. This was only a Category 3 hurricane, and it was pretty bad.
While I don’t know how the following months will pan out, I’ll be sure to post another article in the future if indeed a hurricane is coming to Florida.
