Video Game Spotlight: The Strike

Bass Pro Shops: The Strike is a fishing game, I purchased it for the Xbox 360. While the price is a little expensive (I bought it for 80) – The fishing controller that came with the game was worth it.

I’ve completed the whole game, and it’s a decent fishing game that suffers from outdated graphics and not enough features. Learning how to cast with the fishing controller takes a little bit of time, but once you get the hang of it, it’s fun. You can also use the Xbox 360 controller which works great too.

There’s only 10 fish in the game, but they look pretty good. The lakes are a variety of sizes, but if there’s one thing to be annoyed with, it’s the music soundtrack. Not very good at all.

This game was my first fishing game (unless you want to count Animal Crossing and Fishing Girl) and I thought it was decent. But with no online multiplayer modes, the longevity of the game won’t last too long (to complete the game it should take no more than 20 hours at most).

  1. Even the young fishermen can slip and hit their head on a boulder. Be careful out there. The quickest way to get hurt (or worse) in the outdoors is to not respect the situations you are in.

How long does it take to get to the nearest hospital?
If your head is bleeding profusely, will you be able to drive yourself there?

I am just suggesting that you should think about it once in a while. Sincerely.
