Movie Spotlight: Mary and Max

I was not too sure whether or not I’d like this film. The first ten minutes were difficult to get into, but gradually I started liking it. The animated film is about a little girl in Australia who randomly picks a name out of an address book in the post office and sends him a letter. He lives in New York.

The guy is an older man, and both become pen-pals for years and the two were each other’s only friend. Apparently this is all based on a true story. This PG-13 film contains some laughs, some dark and depressing moments, but it’s worth a watch.
