DMV, Drop The MV, It’s Just “Disaster”
Ever been to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles)? A place where you obtain your driver’s license? Out of curiosity, how many people enjoy going there?
I recently went there after scheduling an appointment. (The first available slot to make an appointment was three weeks later). By making an appointment, you have to wait in line and then speak to the representative who will direct you to another line where you will have to wait in line again. The DMV location I went to had 13 stations, and only 4 were open. So waiting in line took some time and then you are called and hopefully your issue is addressed.
If you make an appointment and go in to take a road rules test (which consists of randomly generated questions that can be quite bizarre), and don’t pass it, you have to go back to the beginning of the line, and get a ticket, thus canceling out your appointment like it did not even matter.
If you don’t have an appointment, you’ll have to wait and wait and wait. You’ll get a ticket with a code on it, there’s different codes for different issues. They will eventually call your code which can take a few hours. I saw many people leave after sitting down for so long.
I don’t know if this is what it’s like at every DMV, but this is ridiculous! Not a caring place at all. The DMV should have more stations open, a faster and more efficient process (why can’t people do this online?) What a disaster. With everything evolving, the DMV seems to be years behind…
