Happy (Belated) Anniversary to Silver.Peace!

On December 3, 2007,  my journey into the online blog world began. Switching from a MySpace Blog (remember those days?) to using WordPress took some time to figure out. Over the years, I have experimented with different article features and have received a variety of different comments on them.

When I started my blog, I was in undergraduate college. Now, 6 years later, I am a year into my PhD program in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a concentration in International Peace. Being in graduate school has definitely made me post less on Silver.Peace, and I wish I could post more!

Over the years, I have come to realize that some things have not changed — that is, there are certain elements in my life that have always been reliable and they still make up a part of me. While friends come and go, here are my three top things that have been a constant in my life:

1. Above & Beyond: On the same day I created my blog, I posted that my favorite song was “Can’t Sleep” by Above & Beyond. I still listen to their weekly trance podcast (which is now called Group Therapy). They have 2 albums coming out in 2014 which I am really excited about!

2. Amazon.com: I have always enjoyed shopping online via Amazon.com. I even got an Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card this year because I shop there so much now. With Amazon Student, I am really enjoying the services!

3. Delicious.com: I can’t believe that I’ve had this account since 2005. I still use it all the time.

Thank you all so much for your checking out my blog — and if it’s your first time here, welcome!

I hope to have some interesting articles posted during winter break and beyond — if you like spotlights on book articles, look forward to a few (a new feature as my face is in books all the time now).

P.S. Since the blog launched, it’s only gone through one name change (from Silvercublogger to Silver.Peace). However, I am thinking of changing my blog name again to Internal.Peace, which has a deeper meaning, in  a way, for me.
