Gamer Banter: Fast Forward To March Please!

I don’t really know what games I’m looking forward to so much this year. I only have an idea of what the retail game release calendar looks like until May 2011 (thanks to Gamefly). There could be some amazing games but I don’t know if I’ve heard of them yet.

I’ve been really busy focusing on getting my future on track (I’ll be graduating in June from my undergraduate college and then off to get a Master’s and Phd). I’ll only be listing three games I’m looking forward to this year as I really have not been able to uncover much awesome stuff that has me interested as of yet.

3. The 3rd Birthday

Sadly I never really got around to playing the Parasite Eve series back in the day (I thought it was too scary!) Though if I have time there’s a rumor the games are being released on the Playstation Store soon. In the meantime, The 3rd Birthday is set to be released March 2011 and it’s gotten amazing reviews from famous Japanese magazine Famitsu.

2. Child of Eden

Developed by Q Entertainment,  responsible for some of my favorite games like Lumines and Rez, I’m really looking forward to this game but I don’t know too much about it. I’m hoping this game is not Kinect only (I’m not the biggest fan of Kinect, still prefer traditional controllers). It’s not coming out until June but I’m patient.

1. Nintendo 3DS

No, it’s not a game… but  it is a game-changer (Nintendo’s new motto for this system). 2011 is the year of the handheld systems. With Sony’s NGP (Next Generation Portable) just announced, and the 3DS coming out in March, this is where I’m most excited! I’ve already put $100 down on the 3DS and just need $150 more for it. Dead or Alive Dimensions looks amazing on the 3DS.. as well as Resident Evil and Legend of Zelda! I can’t wait for the 3DS!!!

  1. 3rd Birthday is one of the reasons why I’d like a PS3. And I need to see the 3DS in action first. But it seems so cool!
